As a junior high school cultural festival looms in an isolated Okinawan town under the threat of Typhoon No. 8, a mysterious girl with an unusual necklace materializes alongside the brewing storm, surprising Shuuichi Azuma. Following a disagreement with his close friend Kenta Saijou about leaving the baseball team, Azuma witnesses the girl perched on an electrical tower during a lightning strike that plunges the school into darkness and sends her plummeting. Determined to avoid Saijou's company, Azuma dashes out into the escalating storm to rescue the enigmatic girl.
