Kokonotsu Shikada, a dreamy manga artist in the making, staunchly resists inheriting this legacy despite his father's pleas. The status quo faces a potential upheaval with the arrival of the peculiar Hotaru Shidare. Hotaru seeks out Kokonotsu's father, aiming to recruit him for her family's renowned sweets empire, the Shidare Corporation. Initially met with refusal, the senior Shikada proposes a deal—Hotaru must convince Kokonotsu to take up the mantle for the family business.
