After a heartfelt plea from the Vatican, Tezuka Osamu embarked on the monumental task of adapting the Bible into an animated format through the Italian National Broadcasting Network. Despite being a non-Christian, he willingly accepted the challenge, dedicating two years to craft a pilot film depicting the tale of Noah's ark. Tezuka poured his passion into not just scripting but also illustrating the scenes. Tragically, before the project's completion, Tezuka passed away, leaving Director Dezaki to step in and bring the film to fruition.
