At Moriwaki Elementary, Shuuhei Amamiya, a new student, encounters Kai Ichinose, a troubled boy from the town's rough streets. After boasting about his piano skills, Shuuhei becomes the target of a bully, Daigaku Kanehira. Daigaku challenges Shuuhei to locate and perform on a rumored cursed piano hidden in the forest. This quest introduces Shuuhei to Kai, who asserts ownership of the piano and mastery over its secrets. Intrigued by Kai's musical prowess, Shuuhei follows him to the secluded forest piano, where Kai's enchanting melodies captivate him. Impressing not just Shuuhei but also their music teacher, Sousuke Ajino, Kai embarks on a formal musical journey, honing his piano skills amidst newfound recognition.
