In search of a summer homework topic, Nobita turns to observing the creation of the world with a gadget from Doraemon. As they witness the birth of tribes and civilizations, Suneo, Giant, and Shizuka join in. However, their project attracts the attention of the time patrol hunting for an illegal time machine. When Giant and Suneo are captured, Nobita, Shizuka, and Doraemon are left to safeguard the genesis set and embark on a mission to rescue their friends.
