In the Viking village of Flake, a young boy named Wickie resides blissfully under the leadership of his father, Halvar, the village chief. Eager to toughen Wickie up, Halvar brings him along on expeditions with the Viking crew. However, these trips often go awry, leaving Halvar and his men in precarious situations. It falls upon Wickie and his clever thinking to bail them out time and again.
