In a twist of fate, two newborn girls are swapped at birth in a hospital. One is born into luxury, while the other grows up in the squalor of the city's slums. Over the years, Miki, the wealthy girl, mistreats Nozomi, the less fortunate one, all orchestrated by the nurse Michiko's vengeful act.
