After a baseball injury forces Hiro to abandon the sport he loves, he enrolls in a school without a baseball team. Meanwhile, his childhood friend Hikari attends a different school with baseball prodigy Hideo. Both Hikari and Hideo wish Hiro hadn't given up on baseball. Hiro, now part of the soccer team, crosses paths with Haruka, a clumsy girl who happens to be his father's boss's daughter and the manager of the unofficial baseball club at his school. When the soccer team challenges the baseball club, aiming to embarrass them, the baseball team struggles until Hiro, appalled by the soccer team's arrogance, makes a pivotal switch to the baseball club.
