Following the loss of his mother, 12-year-old Taro travels to Tokyo to reside with his grandfather. To his astonishment, his grandfather's dwelling turns out to be an enormous mansion bustling with countless exquisite maids at his beck and call. Complicating things (from Taro's perspective, but not from our entertainment), he not only inherits the Hanaukyo mansion but also gains round-the-clock access to the maid services.
