As Shibuya is gripped by a series of notorious killings called the 'New Generation Madness,' Takumi Nishijou, a high school otaku lost in delusions and paranoia, remains apathetic to these gruesome events. Preferring the solace of online games and anime to the real world, Takumi's mundane existence is shattered when he receives a chilling image depicting a man impaled on a wall from a mysterious user named Shogun. Soon after witnessing an identical murder scene in person, complete with a blood-soaked girl with pink hair calling his name, Takumi is thrust into a reality where he questions his sanity and grapples with the uncertainty of whom to trust amidst the 'New Gen' murders, fearing that he might be the next target of the elusive killer.
