Picking up from the conclusion of the previous OVA series, the enigmatic Lady Tokimi sends the warrior Z to Earth to investigate Tenchi's ties to Washu and Tsunami. Despite strict orders not to harm Tenchi, Z seems intent on causing trouble for him. Simultaneously, Tenchi's father and grandfather agree that it's time for him to delve deeper into his Jurian lineage. The introduction of new female residents to the Masaki household stirs up tensions and intensifies the competition for Tenchi's affections, further complicating an already divided emotional landscape.
