While exploring the forest, Shou and his companion, Tetsurou, chance upon a mysterious orb-like device called the Guyver Unit. Through a fateful fusion, Shou becomes the formidable alien warrior, Guyver, entrusted with safeguarding the unit from the relentless pursuit of the Japanese conglomerate, Chronos. This corporation seeks to acquire not only the Guyver Unit Shou possesses but also two others like it. Deploying monstrous Zoanoids as their enforcers, Chronos puts everyone in Shou's world in jeopardy, including his own identity.
