Fourteen years have passed since Kibagami Jubei's victory over the immortal warrior Himuro Genma and the thwarting of the Shogun of the Dark's sinister schemes. As a ronin wandering Japan, he crosses paths with Shigure, a sheltered priestess from a secluded village. However, tragedy strikes when demons decimate her home, leaving Jubei marked for death due to his possession of the enigmatic Dragon Jewel. Meanwhile, Shigure, accompanied by the monk Dakuan and the youthful thief Tsubute, embarks on a perilous journey to Yagyu village. Amidst the threat of two demon factions pursuing Shigure, Dakuan must enlist Jubei's aid once more to safeguard the Priestess of Light.
