When Hiroshi Kuzumi and his family relocate to the mountain town of Jouga due to his father's job, he is warmly welcomed by most of his classmates at school. Quickly befriending Isuzu Tsumuhana, his affectionate neighbor, and Kaname Asagiri, another recent newcomer, Hiroshi's transition seems smooth until a string of mysterious disappearances grips the town. Despite official explanations, Hiroshi senses a deeper unsettling truth lurking beneath the surface. As the red moon looms overhead, a group of masked figures, led by a scythe-wielding girl, prowl the night, casting a shadow of fear over Jouga's residents.
