Fresh out of college, Kawase Mitsuro embarks on his teaching career as an art instructor at a middle school. His arrival sparks a buzz among the female students who admire the charismatic senior teacher, Kazama Toshiaki. Despite Kazama's indifference to the attention, he detects a unique quality in Kawase and invites him to dinner. Uncertain of Kazama's intentions, Kawase tentatively agrees.
