During a trip to the coastal town of Acassi, Lina and Gourry discover a peculiar delicacy - octopus tentacles. Little do they know, consuming this dish places a curse upon them, restricting their speech to the octopus language. Amelia, Zelgadiss, and Xelloss join the group and fall victim to the same curse. When the octopi seek the aid of a mazoku to eliminate the humans, the fate of the main characters hangs in the balance. To break the curse and protect the town, the white sorceress Ruma embarks on a quest to uncover the antidote from her elusive mentor.
