In a future where humans have expanded to other planets, an alien race known as Victim threatens their colonies, leaving only one planet, Zion, standing. To defend against this threat, a special training school called GOA recruits boys from Zion with a rare blood type, EO, and unique abilities, EX, to pilot the powerful Ingrids, also known as The Goddesses – five combat robots safeguarding Zion. Candidate 88, also known as Zero, arrives at GOA and unexpectedly syncs with Ingrid Eeva-Leena, sparking concerns of a fatal synchronization due to its delicate nature. Despite the risks, Zero successfully synchronizes with the Goddess before losing consciousness, thrusting him into pilot training without fully grasping the mysterious connection.
