While training on a desolate cliff, Piccolo is ambushed and overpowered by a group of enigmatic foes. This same sinister force descends upon Mount Paozu to seize Gohan Son's precious 'Dragon Ball.' In a swift and brutal move, they incapacitate Gokuu Son's family members, Chi-Chi and Gyumao, before snatching Gohan. Sensing an ominous disturbance, Gokuu hurries back home to discover Chi-Chi injured and learns of the dire situation. Determined to rescue his son, Gokuu seeks help from Kame House and acquires the Dragon Radar to track down the Dragon Balls, leading him to both the adversaries and Gohan.
