Ichirou Inuyashiki, a 58-year-old man facing struggles with his family's indifference and a grim cancer diagnosis, finds solace in his adopted Shiba Inu, Hanako. After a mysterious encounter in a field, he awakens to discover he has transformed into a mechanical weapon with a human exterior.
