Ichika Usami, a cheerful teenager, inherits her love for sweets from her mother. Eager to surprise her mom returning from abroad, she ventures into baking, only to be visited by a dog-like fairy, Pekorin. Together, they create a magical cake, until the mischievous imp Gummy arrives, craving its 'kirakiraru' essence. Despite her initial sacrifice, Ichika learns the cake's true value through Pekorin's guidance, unlocking her inner strength as Cure Whip, a Pretty Cure defender. Empowered by the kirakiraru, she combats villains threatening the sweetness of Ichigozaka's confections, forging bonds with other colorful allies in her sugary quest.
